The Model is a rigorous framework designed to ensure that there are demonstrable links between HR strategy/processes/development activities and the operational/strategic needs of the Organisation. In the opening session we will look at three ways in which it can be applied to various organisational settings:
- Developing HR Strategy - how the Model enables an Organisation to define its overall HR Strategy and connect this to Operational; Team and Individual Performance requirements.
- Designing an HR Framework - how the Model, with appropriate "local/organisational" interpretation provides an over-arching framework through which an Organisation can move towards a common approach without being overly prescriptive about the detail.
- Building a Business Case for HR Development - how the Model provides a framework by which HR can develop/support/challenge Organisation and Leadership Development activities, in order to ensure that they are aligned with Strategy and add value to the Organisation.
We will then spend the remainder of Day One considering how the Model underpins the internal consultancy/partnership skills needed for HR to make a positive business contribution at strategic/operational level and focus on its application to individual participant challenges.
